The Alamanc is an application for journalists to use as an interactive resource tool, leveraging Open Data Services, across multiple sports.We have created a simple product that enhances the Journalists research, by enabling historical data to be used for in-game analysis and “live” data to prompt conversation.
The Almanac has added features that moves the industry away from “Pen and Paper” to the digital world.Currently a broadcaster or journalist will spend hours in advance of a football match, researching clubs, teams, individual players, subs, formations, statistical data and facts on each player, head to head history, its an extensive and arduous process, a manual process.
By connecting APIs and then surfacing the data in real-time to an APP we provide a service with rich functionality and features, digitalising the user experience for the broadcaster, journalists and consumers.
Our key drive is to democratise the technology by giving access to the data and tools that all journalists need through the sports leagues.We have built features into the Almanac that gives the journalist the control and flexibility to set out and adjust the tactical formation of the team, the personnel, interchange subs during the game and source key data and information as and when needed.
Electronic & Voice notes can be recorded in the apps that convert to text, which will then be automatically saved and categorised for future reference.The Almanac negates the need to manually take notes.
Emerging technology sourced and served within saves time and delivers within the application accurate and rich performance data and insights allowing the journalist to adapt fast and pivot if required before, during and after the match.
